Update on AEW plans for Sting’s final match at the 2024 Revolution PPV event
As seen during the January 10th 2024 edition of AEW Dynamite, The Young Bucks appeared at the end of the show. A match with the Bucks against Sting and Darby Allin was teased for Sting’s retirement at the 2023 AEW Revolution PPV event.
In regards to plans for the match, Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com provided an update…
“Sting, at 64, handpicked the Young Bucks as his opponents for he and Darby Allin, and based on television this week, it would appear that the AEW tag team titles will end up part of the storyline. While not official, it should become the first AEW PPV show where the tag team titles were in the main event.”
As of January 17th, Revolution has 15,393 tickets distributed in Greensboro, NC and is expected to be a complete sell-out.
