Two planned 2021 WWE Draft picks were reportedly changed last week

According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com, there had been two 2021 WWE Draft picks that had been planned but ended up being changed. Johnson noted the following…

“The original plan for this past Friday’s Draft was that the #1 Draft Pick for RAW was to have been Bobby Lashley with the idea that viewers would have to see where Big E, the WWE Champion, would land on Monday, especially after the remainder of New Day was drafted to Smackdown.”

In addition to that, Johnson wrote that there was “serious consideration” of having the Street Profits broken up with Montez Ford going to RAW and Angelo Dawkins staying on Smackdown. Johnson added that talks “lessened” over the course of the week and WWE decided to break up Mace and T-Bar instead.

WWE ultimately went with Big E as the #1 RAW Draft pick and the Profits were drafted to RAW as a team. The Profits made an appearance and had a celebration with the New Day after Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods defeated Shelton Benjamin and Cedric Alexander.
