Triple H on the feedback to Pat McAfee storyline: “People are talking and that is a good thing”
As seen during the April 3rd 2026 edition of WWE SmackDown, Pat McAfee was revealed as Randy Orton’s mystery phone caller after he attacked WWE Champion Cody Rhodes. While appearing on ESPN’s First Take, Peter Rosenberg asked Paul “Triple H” Levesque about McAfee’s involvement receiving negative feedback. Here was the exchange…
Rosenberg: “Everyone’s been talking about it. When the controversy builds leading into WrestleMania and all the fans are questioning every decision you make, does it add any pressure to you in an already pressure-filled weekend to deliver Saturday and Sunday?
Triple H: “It’s always pressure, but the thing is, talk is good, right? People are talking and that is a good thing. Pat, love him or hate him, Pat makes people talk, right? I think that’s what’s important here, is people are talking. This is going to be an amazing show. This will be incredible, and it will deliver. On all levels.”
Triple H says he felt some pressure when the fans were angry about Pat McAfee joining Randy Orton at #WrestleMania
“It got them talking, that’s what Pat does make people talk the main event will deliver”
