Tony Khan comments on AEW potentially expanding into new international markets
While speaking on the Battleground podcast, AEW President Tony Khan was asked if there was a city or country that AEW hasn’t been to yet that he would like to bring the brand to. Here was Khan’s response…
“It’s a great question—really, really great. We’ve had some awesome events in England, and anytime we go back there, I absolutely love it.
There are a lot of great cities in Mexico that we haven’t been to yet. We’ve been to Mexico City, but I think there are more opportunities. Guadalajara is a great town, and there are others as well.
There are also cities in the United States where, after all these years, maybe we’ve done TV but haven’t had a pay-per-view yet. So there are still plenty of great places I’d love to go.
I mentioned Guadalajara as one good opportunity that could be an awesome place to visit. There are also a lot of big international cities—there’s never been an AEW event in countries like France, Italy, or Germany.”
