Thunder Rosa on AEW: “The characters are completely edgy in comparison to other places”
During an interview with The Rockin’ Ride Home, AEW star Thunder Rosa commented on what makes AEW “special and different” as a brand. Here is what Rosa stated…
“I just think it’s like the characters are completely edgy in comparison to other places, and it’s just—and also the level of wrestling is completely different than other places.”
Rosa also commented on her favorite moments in AEW…
“I just watched the match when I won the championship, and then the Lights Out match, and how those things changed the trajectory of the women’s division and all the elite wrestling. And it’s just, it just reminds me of how far I have come.
I haven’t done one of those matches in, like, almost over two years, so it’s kind of crazy that a lot of people got to know me from having some of the most brutal women’s matches at the time in the history of professional wrestling. And now, I’ve seen how the girls are growing and the division has grown to, like Blood & Guts last year, right? And where it was a pretty brutal match, and some other matches too that have been classics.
So I don’t have a favorite moment per se. It’s just, there’s different moments in my career that have been very, very special, like winning the championship, winning a championship in Mexico, winning championships and defending them all over the world, like Japan and London, and just, working with different people. It’s always been such a pleasure.”
