There was reportedly a “huge negative shift in morale” during the WWE RAW after Wrestlemania 39

As previously noted, Vince McMahon was reportedly “heavily involved” with the 2023 RAW after Wrestlemania 39 following the announcement of WWE being sold to Endeavor. Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com noted the following regarding backstage morale at the event…

“Among some talents we spoke with, there was a huge negative shift in morale as they realized that things were going to go back to ‘exactly where they were’ before Paul Levesque [Triple H] was placed in control as Chief Content Officer. One source said the ‘place felt nuked’ but others didn’t go that far.”

According to Johnson, RAW started with Triple H on headsets running the show but as the event progressed, McMahon became “more and more involved” with the production. In regards to McMahon being in charge, Johnson noted that some talents “shrugged it off” as they believed he would eventually return. While there is a feeling that McMahon will continue to oversee things moving forward, talent are waiting to see if his involvement this week was due to him already being in Los Angeles for Wrestlemania and the WWE sale announcement.

RAW opened with Triple H saying the following to WWE fans and the locker room…

“I am here to assure you we ain’t going nowhere. The same WWE that you love. The same WWE that 160,000 people in the rafters is going nowhere.”
