There is reportedly still “a great deal of support” for former WWE owner Vince McMahon from wrestlers
Last month, it was announced that former WWE owner Vince McMahon launched a new company called 14TH & I which will be pursuing opportunities in sports, media, and entertainment. Justin Barrasso reported that Vince made an attempt to purchase “controlling interest” in the combat sports promotion Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship.
In regards to Vince’s status in wrestling, Barrasso wrote that while “speaking with several executives in combat sports and pro wrestling, the belief is that McMahon will ultimately find himself involved again in professional wrestling, an industry he revolutionized over the last 40 years.” Barrasso noted that “those with inside knowledge are not sold on the idea that McMahon’s investment firm, 14TH & I, is going to suddenly develop television shows or movies, a process that generally takes years to materialize.”
Barrasso added that while “speaking with wrestlers off-the-record, there is a great deal of support for McMahon, as many note that McMahon is still held in high regard.”
