The Miz: “You never know what’s going to happen in WWE, especially at WrestleMania”
While speaking to the Throwbacks podcast, The Miz reflected on his appearance at WWE WrestleMania 39 in 2023…
“I didn’t have a match when I hosted at SoFi Stadium—like, two nights—and then I ended up having two matches, both nights, getting People’s Elbowed by Snoop Dogg.
So you never know what’s going to happen in WWE, especially at WrestleMania. Even though I don’t have a match right now, I’m always prepared, always ready, and ready to go.
So at SoFi Stadium, I didn’t even find out until the day of—like that afternoon. They were like, ‘Yeah, you’re probably going to have a match tonight.’ And I’m like, ‘What? Wait—what? Huh?’
And it’s WrestleMania—that’s what we build for. But the thing is, I’ve prepared myself to where I can be put into any situation. I feel like WWE prepares you for everything—whether it’s a movie, a television show, improv, hosting—whatever it is, it prepares you for it.
So I feel like I’m always ready for anything, any obstacle that comes my way.
If they need me for a match impromptu, right then and there, I can go out and put on the best match possible.”
