Swerve Strickland claims that AEW is about to get on the FOX network
Just prior to the 2024 AEW All Out PPV event, AEW President Tony Khan said the company was “on the 1 yard line at the most important time in our history.” A media rights renewal with Warner Brothers Discovery is said to be a “done deal” and there have been rumors that AEW could potentially be working with FOX as well.
During an interview with QueenzFlip, former AEW world champion Swerve Strickland made the following claim…
“It’s a movie. We’re about to move. We’re about to get on Fox. SmackDown is leaving Fox. We’re taking Fox. TNT, TBS, and Fox. We got all three of them things. Tony Khan lets me do whatever the f*ck I want. He owns the Jacksonville Jaguars.” (quote courtesy of Jeremy Lambert)
At this time, AEW has not made any official announcements regarding media rights deals.
