Sting comments on making his entrance from the rafters during AEW Dynamite

As seen during the February 28th 2024 edition of AEW Dynamite, Sting made his entrance from the rafters which was something he did during his WCW career. While speaking to ESPN.com, Sting commented on doing the stunt again…

“You climb and step over that rail, and it’s like, ‘It’s time to let go now. I used to say my sphincter muscle gets very tight in those moments. And it does. It can be scary. I had one little pang when I was up there. It was like a 30-second pang when I realized I’m getting ready to do this here again. We’re having this casual conversation. ‘All right, you ready to go?’ I’m ready. Let’s go.”

According to Fightful.com, AEW President Tony Khan received permission from Owen Hart’s widow Martha before the stunt with Sting was performed. Owen died in an accident while performing a similar stunt at the 1999 WWE Over The Edge PPV.
