Shelton Benjamin announces that he has been released from WWE

On Thursday, multiple WWE superstars were released including Shelton Benjamin. Benjamin issued a brief statement via Twitter/X…

“I have been released from my wwe contract. I thank @wwe staff, talent, and of course the fans for Everything. Something ends, something new Begins. Looking forward to my next Chapter.”

Benjamin made his return to WWE in 2017 and was tag team champions with Cedric Alexander at one point as part of the Hurt Business faction. Benjamin last wrestled at the September 11th 2023 taping of Main Event when him and Alexander lost to the Viking Raiders.
