Seth Rollins explains why him and Becky Lynch missed WWE live event
As previously noted, WWE was dealing with travel issues heading into the post-Christmas 2022 holiday tour. Several WWE stars ended up missing Monday night’s event in Columbus, Ohio including Seth Rollins, Becky Lynch, Bobby Lashley, and Alexa Bliss.
Via Twitter, Rollins explained to a fan that the tour bus him and his wife Becky use to travel broke down. Rollins wrote, “I’m very sorry! We tried, but by the time the bus broke down on the side of the road we had no other recourse.”
Mike Johson of PWInsider.com also noted the following…
“We are told that the bus was actually in Iowa last weekend in advance of this weekend’s tour. Columbus would be a 9-10 hour drive from Iowa, not factoring in the harsh weather conditions of the last week across the United States.”
Rollins was originally scheduled to face Austin Theory in the Columbus main event but the match ended up being Theory vs. Damian Priest vs. Johnny Gargano inside a steel cage. According to Johnson, the travel situation for WWE talent was described as a “total nightmare” and “beyond frustrating.”
It did. And I’m very sorry! We tried, but by the time the bus broke down on the side of the road we had no other recourse.
