Samoa Joe making a return to the WWE NXT brand?

Samoa Joe was one of several WWE personalities that was released from the company on April 15th 2021.

It is being reported by Fightful Select that numerous WWE NXT talent and staff have heard about there being interest in Joe making a return to the brand. Furthermore, it’s being said that the “interest on NXT’s side is for a wrestling role.” It was previously reported that Joe had recently expressed interest in wrestling again but WWE did not clear him.

At this point, there is no indication that an offer has been made or will even be made at all.

Fightful later posted an update…

”Officials in NXT have confirmed that Samoa Joe was briefly at the WWE Performance Center this week. We were not told why he was there. We did get confirmation there have been pitches within NXT to use Samoa Joe, however.”

Joe has been largely quiet on social media since his release with few tweets since April 15th.
