Samoa Joe makes his return to the WWE NXT brand (video)

General Manager William Regal kicked off the June 15th 2021 edition of WWE NXT. Regal teased that he was going to step down from his position but was interrupted by NXT Champion Karrion Kross. Kross talked trash to Regal until Samoa Joe made an appearance and Regal offered Joe the GM position. Joe turned it down but said he was willing to help Regal and make sure that people treated Regal with respect. Regal said Joe could do that but wouldn’t be allowed to compete or touch anyone unless he was provoked. Joe accepted the terms and then got in Kross’ face. Kross eventually left the ring.

Later on the show in a backstage segment, Adam Cole shoved Joe as Joe was trying to break up a brawl between Cole and Kyle O’Reilly. Joe ended up choking out Cole.
