Sami Zayn comments on a match of his that he feels “changed” the wrestling industry

August 21st 2023 is the 10th anniversary of Sami Zayn and Cesaro’s two out of three falls match in WWE NXT. Twitter account @OTD_in_WWE shared a video clip from the match and Zayn himself commented on the video with the following message…

“At this risk of sounding dramatic or arrogant, this one match changed the industry. This was the day NXT became ‘a thing.’ Hard to explain the significance/context/landscape at that time, but suffice to say it’s one of my proudest matches, with one of my all-time best opponents.”
