Rumor killer regarding CM Punk and The Young Bucks
As previously noted, Dax Harwood of FTR recently expressed his desire to see CM Punk and The Elite work things out following their backstage altercation from September of 2022.
During this week’s edition of Being The Elite, The Young Bucks brought up how there was a stressful incident that occurred last week but did not specify what it was. This led to rumors that CM Punk met up with the Bucks in Los Angeles around the time of AEW Dynamite. During Wrestling Observer Radio, Bryan Alvarez of F4WOnline.com revealed that the incident was actually a visa issue that almost impacted the Elite vs. Death Triangle ladder match. Alvarez noted the following…
“Word got out that it was a visa issue. Seven of the best of seven almost didn’t take place. Like, it didn’t get figured out until, I guess, late in the day.”
“You can make up any story you want if you want something to talk about on the internet on a holiday, but CM Punk is not meeting with the Young Bucks and that’s not happening. You could make up that story if you want to, but it didn’t happen.”
Dave Meltzer clarified that the visa issue was cleared up on Tuesday night prior to Dynamite.
WOR: Bryan and Dave ruin the fun of Wrestling Twitter by discussing that CM Punk did not meet with The Young Bucks in Los Angeles. https://t.co/mYdKSjV7fm pic.twitter.com/nibCGKw054
