Roman Reigns’ opponent for the 2022 Royal Rumble has been determined
During the January 7th 2022 edition of WWE Smackdown, WWE Champion Brock Lesnar challenged Universal Champion Roman Reigns to a Champion vs. Champion match. Reigns said it was a good idea but not his idea and blew it off.
Backstage, WWE official Adam Pearce later told Reigns that since the Lesnar challenge was turned down, Pearce would be choosing Reigns’ opponent for the 2022 Royal Rumble PPV. At the end of the show, someone knocked on Reigns’ locker room door. It ended up being Seth Rollins and Rollins laughed as the show went off the air.
