Results of world title match at WWE NXT Halloween Havoc 2022

Bron Breakker (c) vs. JD McDonagh vs. Ilja Dragunov for the WWE NXT world title took place at the 2022 WWE NXT Halloween Havoc PLE. Here are the highlights…

* For Breakker’s entrance, there were tombstones displayed for JD and Dragunov.

* Breakker and Dragunov both wanted McDonagh and exchanged words. McDonagh took advantage of the situation and delivered offense to both guys. Breakker then took control and worked over both of his opponents. Dragunov started to build momentum when he hit a coast to coast onto both opponents.

* Breakker and Dragunov traded blows and both fell to the mat. McDonagh clapped at what happened so Breakker and Dragunov decided to double team McDonagh. They tossed McDonagh out of the ring and continued to fight each other.

* Breakker hit McDonagh with a frankensteiner which Dragunov turned into a powerbomb. The crowd chanted “holy shit” as all three exchanged blows. Breakker and Dragunov went to the outside and McDonagh hit them with a springboard moonsault.

* Back in the ring McDonagh hit a 450 to Dragunov but there was a kick-out. McDonagh attempted to pin Breakker as well but Breakker kicked out.

* Breakker suplexed both opponents at the same time. Breakker hit Dragunov with the top rope bulldog and hit the powerslam. Breakker went for the cover but McDonagh tried to steal the pin. However, Dragunov kicked out.

* Breakker sent McDonagh out of the ring but then Dragunov took Breakker down. Dragunov had Breakker beat but McDonagh stopped the referee from counting three. The crowd chanted “this is awesome” as Dragunov and McDonagh traded blows. The two fought on the outside of the ring. Dragunov took out McDonagh and got back into the ring to take on Breakker again.

* Breakker was finally able to hit the spear to pin Dragunov and retain his title.
