Results of Willow Nightingale vs. Mercedes Mone at AEW Double or Nothing 2024

Willow Nightingale (c) vs. Mercedes Mone for the TBS title took place at AEW Double or Nothing 2024. Here are the highlights…

* Mercedes Mone had a special entrance with drummers and Las Vegas showgirls. There were dueling chants for both competitors. Mercedes quickly slipped to the outside and had Willow chase her to gain an advantage.

* The two fought on the outside and Willow gained control with a doctor bomb to Mercedes on the apron. Back in the ring, Willow gave Mercedes a German suplex and continued to deliver offense.

* Mercedes was able to gain the upper hand and targeted Willow’s ankle. Mercedes hit a backstabber but Willow kicked out. Willow came back with a pounce but couldn’t make the cover. Willow hit a spinebuster but Mercedes was able to kick out.

* Mercedes came back with a powerbomb out of the corner. They ended up on the apron and Willow drove Mercedes knee-first into the apron. Willow gave Mercedes a DVD into the corner and went for a canonball but missed. Mercedes came off the middle rope with a meteora but Willow kicked out.

* Mercedes gave Willow another meteora on the floor. Mercedes shoved Kris Statlander down. Kris got on the apron and Willow hit the doctor bomb but the referee was distracted. Mercedes countered another doctor bomb and applied a crossface. Mercedes transitioned to an STF but Willow was able to grab the rope. Mercedes then hit the “Mone Maker” and scored the pinfall victory to win the title.

* After the match, Stokely Hathaway yelled at Willow. Kris shoved Stokely and helped Willow out of the ring but then attacked her.
