Results of Will Ospreay vs. Swerve Strickland at AEW Forbidden Door 2026

Will Ospreay vs. Swerve Strickland (with Prince Nana) in the men’s Owen Hart tournament final took place at AEW Forbidden Door 2026. Here are the highlights…

The two men started trading punches right when the bell rang. They dodged each other’s early finisher attempts, and Swerve regrouped on the outside. Swerve got back in the ring, and the two men were evenly matched until Swerve started targeting the neck. Swerve trash-talked and slapped Ospreay around, which fired Ospreay up.

Ospreay targeted Swerve’s arm and applied a submission on the outside. As Swerve was tapping out, Nana threw coffee into Ospreay’s face. This allowed Swerve to take advantage by powerbombing Ospreay onto the apron. Swerve followed that up by catapulting Ospreay into the exposed turnbuckle rod, busting open Ospreay.

Back in the ring, Ospreay managed to fight back with a Spanish Fly followed by a Styles Clash, but Swerve kicked out. Ospreay hit a Hidden Blade, but Swerve immediately connected with one of his own.

The momentum shifted back to Ospreay after he swung Swerve into the steel steps, busting him open. Nana then provided a distraction that allowed Swerve to connect with a House Call on Ospreay from the steel steps to the outside.

Swerve tried to give Ospreay a Vertebreaker on the announce desk, but Ospreay countered with a Styles Clash.

Back in the ring, Swerve barely beat the referee’s 10-count but was immediately hit with a Hidden Blade. Swerve came back with a House Call, but Ospreay kicked out at one. Ospreay then hit another Hidden Blade, but Swerve also kicked out at one. Both men then collapsed. They eventually got to their feet, and the crowd chanted, “Fight Forever.”

The two men took their gloves off. Ospreay connected with the Hidden Blade followed by the Storm Breaker, but Swerve kicked out. Swerve then kicked Ospreay low while the referee wasn’t looking and hit the Vertebreaker, but Ospreay kicked out. Swerve took down Ospreay with a Hidden Blade, but Ospreay still kicked out. At that point, the Death Riders arrived at ringside to cheer on Ospreay.

Swerve hit another House Call, and Ospreay looked over at Moxley before getting fired up. Ospreay connected with a Hidden Blade followed by a Buckshot Hidden Blade, but Swerve kicked out. Ospreay then hit the Death Rider followed by the Tiger Driver to secure the victory.

Ospreay celebrated with the Death Riders and his wife Alex Windsor after the match.
