Results of Will Ospreay vs. Kazuchika Okada at AEW Worlds End 2024 PPV (Kenny Omega returns)

Will Ospreay vs. Kazuchika Okada in the Continental Classic final match took place at the 2024 AEW Worlds End PPV event. Here are the highlights…

* Ospreay’s head was bandaged up from his match with Kyle Fletcher. There was a “holy sh*t” chant when the match started and the fans gave them a standing ovation. The match quickly went to the outside and Okada gained the upper hand with a DDT on the floor. The bandages from Ospreay’s wound fell off.

* Despite his condition, Ospreay started to build momentum. However, it was short-lived as Okada countered the hidden blade. Ospreay’s leg got hung up in the ropes and Okada took advantage of the situation. The two ended up back on the outside and Ospreay gave Okada a cutter on the floor. Okada was barely able to beat the ten count back into the ring and was immediately hit with another cutter.

* Okada was able to regain counter with a neckbreaker. Okada came off the top with an elbow drop and went for the rainmaker but Ospreay avoided it. Ospreay hit the Styles clash but Okada kicked out.

* Okada was finally able to connect with the rainmaker but Ospreay kiced out. Okada went for another rainmaker but Ospreay countered with a Spanish fly. Ospreay, who was busted open again, hit his own rainmaker followed by the stormbreaker but Okada kicked out. Okada avoided the Tiger driver and hit another rainmaker but couldn’t make the cover. The two countered each other’s moves and Okada hit another rainmaker to win the match.

* Ospreay and Okada shook hands after the match. Christopher Daniels then announced that he can’t present the title to Okada because he’s no longer an EVP. Daniels then introduced the returning Kenny Omega. Omega came to the ring and presented the Continental title to his longtime rival Okada.
