Trick Williams (c) vs. Ridge Holland for the world title took place during the WWE NXT Deadline 2024 PLE. Here were the highlights…

* Trick had a strong start against Holland but was selling his neck. Trick sent Holland into the ring post and then got him back into the ring. Holland was able to avoid a corner splash and focused on Trick’s neck with stomps followed by a neckbreaker.

* Trick fought out a crossface and delivered a Bookend but Holland kicked out. Trick’s neck ended up being caught in the ropes and Holland took advantage. Holland hit a DDT but Trick managed to kick out.

* Trick ended up recovering and won with the Trick shot knee strike.
