Results of the 2024 women’s WWE Royal Rumble match

Here are the highlights of the 2024 women’s WWE Royal Rumble match…

* For the 2nd year in a row, Pat McAfee appeared at the start of the show to join the commentary team.

* Natalya and the returning Naomi were the first two entrants. The crowd erupted in a “welcome back” chant and Naomi got emotional. Naomi shook hands with Natalya to start the match. On commentary, Michael Cole referred to her as a former TNA Knockouts champion.

* Bayley, one of the betting odds favorites to win, was #3.

* Candice LeRae was #4.

* TNA Knockouts champion Jordynne Grace was #5. Grace hugged Naomi and then the two immediately started brawling. There was a “TNA” chant from fans.

* Indi Hartwell was #6. Indi and Candice worked together. Asuka was #7. Ivy Nile was #8. Indi was the first woman to be eliminated. Katana Chance was #9. Grace and Nile did dueling delayed vertical suplexes to show off their power. Bianca Belair was #10. Kairi Sane was #11. Tegan Nox was #12. Damage CTRL start working together at this point. Kayden Carter was #13. Chelsea Green was #14.

* Kairi held on the apron as long as she could but both were and Asuka were eliminated to leave Bayley by herself. Bianca gave Grace a KOD on the apron to eliminate her.

* Piper Niven was #15. Xia Li was #16. Zelina Vega was #17. Maxxine Dupri was #18. Nia Jax was #19. Nia scored multiple eliminations. Chelsea kept getting squashed in the corner by both Nia and Piper. Several women tried to go after Nia but were unsuccessful.

* Shotzi was #20. Becky Lynch was #21. Alba Fyre was #22. Shayna Baszler was #23. Valhalla was #24. Thinking it was the men’s match, R-Truth ran down into the ring but was quickly thrown out by Nia Jax. Michin was #25. Zoey Stark was #26. Roxanne Perez was #27.

* Jade Cargill was #28 and went right after Nia. Jade ended up slamming Nia over the top rope and Becky was impressed.

* Tiffany Stratton was #29. Liv Morgan was #30. There was a tease of Bianca and Jade going at it but they were both attacked.

* Jade eliminated both Becky and Noami.

* The final three were Jade, Liv and Bayley. Liv eliminated Jade and the Bayley eliminated Liv to win the match. Bayley set the record for the longest performance in a women’s Rumble match at just over an hour.
