Results of team Jericho vs. team Kingston at AEW/NJPW Forbidden Door 2022

Chris Jericho, Sammy Guevara, and Minoru Suzuki vs. Eddie Kingston, Wheeler Yuta, and Shota Umino took place at the 2022 AEW/NJPW Forbidden Door PPV. Here are the highlights…

* It was announced that the winning team will have the advantage in the upcoming Blood and Guts cage match.

* Yuta got the best of Jericho in the early moments with rolling German suplexes and a crossface but it was broken up. Everyone started brawling to the outside of the ring.

* Order was restored and Kingston wanted Jericho but Jericho tagged out to Suzuki. Kingston and Suzuki traded chops. Kingston tried the machine gun chops but didn’t have success. Jericho tagged back in once Suzuki got the upper hand on Kingston.

* Jericho’s team got simultaneous submissions on their opponents. Kingston was eventually able to tag out to Umino. There were several dives to the outside of the ring but Susuki didn’t go through with one.

* Back in the ring, several big moves were exchanged and all six ended up down. The crowd gave them a standing ovation and started a “this is awesome” chant.

* Umino hit Jericho with an avalanche powerslam but the pin was broken up. Tay Conti distracted Yuta on the outside of the ring and Yuta was taken out by Guevara with a GTH. Guevara used a baseball bat on Umino when the referee didn’t see. Umino recovered and hit Jericho with a brainbuster but Jericho kicked out. Umino put the Walls of Jericho on Jericho but Guevara and Suzuki stopped the submission. Kingston was taken out by Suzuki with a piledriver and Umino was by himself. Jericho hit the Judas Effect to score the pinfall victory.
