Roman Reigns (c) vs. Seth Rollins for the World Heavyweight Championship took place at the WWE SummerSlam Sunday 2026 PLE. Here are the highlights…

The two men exchanged words before they locked up. After a few moments of back-and-forth action, Rollins gained the advantage with multiple suicide dives to the outside. Reigns and Rollins ended up fighting into the crowd, which led to Reigns giving Rollins a suplex on the floor. Rollins was able to avoid a Spear and came off the barricade with a knee to Reigns. Rollins went for a Spear, but Reigns countered with a powerbomb to Rollins through the announce desk.

Reigns went to powerbomb Rollins through the other desk, but Rollins countered with a powerbomb of his own that put Reigns through the desk. After both beat the referee’s 10-count, Rollins immediately hit a Pedigree. After Reigns regained control, Rollins countered a Spear attempt with a Curb Stomp, but Reigns kicked out.

Reigns countered the Falcon Arrow with the Guillotine Choke, but Rollins was able to escape. Reigns connected with the Spear, but Rollins kicked out. After trash-talking, Reigns went for another Spear, but Rollins countered with a Spear of his own that Reigns barely kicked out of.

After the two had a verbal exchange, they traded blows, which led to the referee accidentally being knocked down. Rollins did the Dean Ambrose clothesline. Reigns responded with Ambrose’s Dirty Deeds and went for the Spear, but accidentally hit the referee with it. Rollins hit the Stomp, and both men were down.

Rollins brought a steel chair into the ring, but Reigns took down Rollins before it could be used. Reigns grabbed the chair and contemplated using it, but threw it out of the ring. After another staredown, the two men engaged in a hockey brawl. After more shots were exchanged, Rollins hit another Pedigree followed by a Stomp. Rollins went for a Super Stomp but missed, and Reigns hit the Spear. Reigns delivered two more Spears and pinned Rollins to win the match.

After the match, the two men looked at each other from opposite corners. They came together and, in a show of respect, did The Shield fist bump. Rollins left the ring, and Reigns celebrated his victory.
