Results of Roman Reigns vs. Jey Uso at WWE Summerslam 2023 PLE

Roman Reigns (c) (with Paul Heyman) vs. Jey Uso in a Tribal Combat for the unified WWE Universal title took place at the WWE Summerslam 2023 PLE in Detroit, Michigan. Here are the highlights…

* The two had a feeling out process in the early moments and milked the crowd reactions. There was a “f*ck” you Roman chant.

* The fight went to the outside and the crowd chanted for tables. Jey listened and pulled out a table.

* Reigns dominated for several minutes. The two exchanged kendo stock shots and Jey broke it over Reigns. Jey came off the top rope but Reigns caught him with a Superman punch.

* Jey hit an Uso splash but Reigns kicked out at the last moment. Jey hit Reigns repeatedly with a steel chair and brought in more chairs. Reigns ended up powerbombing Jey on the chairs but Reigns kicked out.

* The two ended up by the apron and Jey gave Reigns a Samoan drop to the floor below.

* The two fought into the crowd and then Solo Sikoa showed up to attack Jey. Solo gave Jey a spinning solo through a table. Jey’s lifeless body was brought back to the ring.

* Reigns and Solo went for the spear/spike combo but Jey pulled Solo into Reigns. Jey then hit Reigns with a spear but Reigns kicked out.

* Reigns and Solo had a heated exchange on the outside and Jey took advantage by spearing Reigns though the barricade. Jey then took out Solo with a splash through the announce table.

* Jey had the match won with an Uso splash but then Jimmy pulled Jey out of the ring. Jimmy gave Jey a super kick as the crowd chanted “f*ck you Jimmy.” Reigns then speared Jey through a table in the corner to retain his title.
