Rhea Ripley (c) vs. Nia Jax for the women’s world heavyweight title took place at WWE Elimination Chamber 2024. Here are the highlights…

* Before the match, Paul “Triple H” Levesque cut a promo in the ring and announced the attendance as 52,590.

* Rhea had the Australian flag designed on the back of her vest.

* Rhea went for the riptide early but was unsuccessful and Nia took control. Nia worked over Rhea and taunted Rhea’s family at ringside. Rhea struggled to make a comeback against Nia and was hit with two powerbombs.

* Rhea was eventually able to get back into the match and delivered a missile dropkick to Nia from the top rope. However, Rhea’s momentum was short-lived and Nia took down Rhea with an avalanche Samoan drop from the second ropes.

* Rhea regained the upper hand and came off the top with a frogsplash but Nia kicked out. Rhea went for another riptide but was sent out of the ring. Nia gave Rhea a Samoan drop on the announce table and then put Rhea through the table with an elbow drop. Back in the ring, Nia hit the Annihilator but Rhea kicked out.

* Nia went for another Annihilator but Rhea got to her feet. Rhea gave Nia a superplex and finally hit the riptide for the win. Pyro went off as Rhea celebrated her victory.
