* Before the match, MJF cut a promo, calling Strong “white trash” like the people in New Jersey. Strong immediately went after MJF, and the two brawled outside the ring. The crowd chanted, “He’s our scumbag!” and “No, he’s not!” MJF took control after delivering a powerbomb to Strong onto the ring apron.

* Strong avoided a Heatseeker and targeted MJF’s back. MJF spat at Strong, which fired him up. MJF poked Strong in the eye but couldn’t stop his momentum. Strong applied a Texas Cloverleaf but couldn’t maintain the hold. After a few moments of back and forth action, MJF picked up the the submission victory with Salt of the Earth.

* After the match, MJF put Strong’s arm in a chair and stomped on it. Adam Cole ran down to the ring and MJF fled through the crowd. Kyle O’Reilly also came to the ring and expressed frustration to Cole.
