Kazuchika Okada (c) vs. Konosuke Takeshita for the International title took place at AEW Double or Nothing 2026. Here are the highlights…

The two had a brief staredown before exchanging strikes. Both attempted their big moves early but were unsuccessful, and the crowd gave them an ovation with “AEW” chants. Okada gained the advantage as the two fought outside the ring.

Back inside, the match went back and forth. Takeshita delivered a wheelbarrow suplex, but Okada wiped out Takeshita with a rolling lariat in response. The crowd gave them another ovation. They fought on the apron, which led to Okada giving Takeshita a Rainmaker.

Okada wanted to finish off Takeshita on the floor but was stopped by Don Callis. Takeshita ended up giving Okada a brainbuster on the floor, and Callis was irate. Back in the ring, Okada regained control with a tombstone piledriver. After the two traded shots, Takeshita connected with the Blue Thunder Bomb, but then Okada countered the Powerdrive Knee. Okada went for the Rainmaker, but Takeshita countered with a Rainmaker of his own. Takeshita hit the Powerdrive Knee, but Okada kicked out at one, which led to a “holy sh*t” chant. Takeshita then hit Raging Fire and got the win to become the new champion.

After the match, the entire Don Callis Family entered the ring, including Kyle Fletcher. Fletcher got in Okada’s face, and the Callis Family left the ring. Fletcher gave Takeshita a hug, but then attacked him. After laying out Takeshita with a brainbuster, Fletcher reached for the International title, but so did Okada. Fletcher took the title and hit Takeshita with it.
