Jon Moxley (c) vs. Adam Copeland for the AEW world title took place at AEW Revolution 2025. Here are the highlights…

* Jim Ross was on commentary for the match. The crowd continued singing Cope’s song after it stopped playing.

* The two traded numerous shots in the opening moments. After Moxley went to the outside, Cope jumped off the top rope onto Moxley. Moxley was able to turn things around with a Neckbreaker on the apron. Moxley targeted the neck region of Cope. Cope was able to fight back with an Impaler but was still hurting.

* Moxley regained control by sending Cope into the steel steps. Moxley exposed the concrete floor outside the ring and went for a Piledriver, but Cope countered with a Back Body Drop. However, Moxley quickly recovered and gave Cope a Curb Stomp on the floor. Moxley brought Cope back into the ring and hit a Piledriver, but Cope kicked out.

* Moxley brought a chair into the ring, and the referee inadvertently got knocked out of the ring. Moxley went for the Conchairto, but Cope avoided it.

* Wheeler Yuta came to the ring and teased being conflicted but then attacked Cope with the Running Knee. Jay White ran down to make the save but accidentally hit Cope with the World Title briefcase. Moxley went for the cover, but Cope managed to kick out.

* Cope recovered and hit the Spear, but Moxley kicked out. Cope hit two more Spears, but Christian pulled out the referee and hit Cope with the briefcase. Christian cashed in his World Title contract and speared Cope, but Cope kicked out. Christian hit the Killswitch, but Moxley put Christian in the Bulldog Choke. Christian tried to pin Cope while in the hold but ended up passing out, giving Moxley the win.

* After the match, Nana confronted Moxley by the arena entrance. Swerve Strickland then jumped off a balcony and hit Moxley with a Swerve Stomp.
