On the May 18th 2021 edition of WWE NXT, Bronson Reed defeated Johnny Gargano to win the NXT North American Title. The match took place inside a steel cage. Reed became the 9th man to hold the title in NXT and it was the 14th anniversary of his wrestling debut.
