Results of Ilja Dragunov vs. Trick Williams at WWE NXT Vengeance Day 2024

Ilja Dragunov vs. Trick Williams for the NXT world title took place during the WWE NXT Vengeance Day 2024 PLE. Here were the highlights…

* Carmelo was at ringside for the match.

* The match went back and forth in the early moments. Both men started bleeding as Williams’ mouth was busted open and Dragunov’s nose was busted open. Dragunov gained the upper hand when he gave Williams a death valley driver on the apron and Carmelo checked out Williams’ condition. Williams got back in the ring but Dragunov caught him with a top rope dropkick.

* Williams avoided an H-Bomb and started to build momentum. Williams gave Dragunov a uranage off the apron onto the floor. Dragunov recovered but then Carmelo started yelling at Dragunov. Carmelo went to strike Dragunov but missed. Dragunov then sent Carmelo into the knee of Williams.

* Dragunov got Williams back in the ring but couldn’t put him away. Williams made a comeback and hit his own H-Bomb but Dragunov kicked out. Dragunov regained the upper hand and hit his H-Bomb. Dragunov then hit an avalanche H-Bomb but Williams kicked out. Williams made another comeback but the referee accidentally got knocked down. Williams hit the trick knee and another referee ran down but Dragunov kicked out. Dragunov regained the upper hand and went for another avalanche H-Bomb but Williams got his knees up. Dragunov managed to get the win after hitting Williams with the Torpedo Moscow.

* After the match, Carmelo turned against Williams by purposing clipping his bad knee. Williams grabbed a chair and hit Williams’ leg repeatedly with it. There were “f*ck you Melo” and “Melo sucks” chants.
