AEW TBS Championship: Hikaru Shida (c) vs. Maya World took place at AEW Redemption 2026. Here are the highlights…

After the two shoved each other, they exchanged strikes. Shida slowed down Maya’s momentum with an illegal stretch muffler hold in the corner. Despite Maya’s injured knee, she was able to stay in the fight. Maya connected with a moonsault, but Shida was able to kick out. Shida regained the advantage with a single-leg crab submission, but Maya got to the rope.

Shida delivered a top-rope meteora, but Maya was able to kick out. After the two reversed pin attempts, Maya connected with three Shining Wizards but couldn’t cover right away, and Shida escaped to the outside. Shida tried to use her kendo stick but was stopped by the referee, and Shida took advantage with a dive to the outside.

Back in the ring, Shida went for another moonsault, but Maya got her knees up. Shida connected with a knee strike, but Maya kicked out. Shida hit a cutthroat piledriver, but Maya kicked out again. After applying the TBS Lock but stopping a Maya tapout, Shida delivered three knee strikes followed by a Falcon Arrow, but Maya got her hand on the rope. After Shida yelled at the referee, Maya took advantage and scored the sudden victory to win the title.
