Hikaru Shida (c) vs. Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D. (with Rebel) for the AEW Women’s Title

* Before the match, it was announced that AEW All Out will take place in Chicago on Sunday, September 5th.

* There was a brief face off before the two started trading blows. Both tried to hit their big moves early. There were dueling “let’s go Shida/DMD” chants.

* Baker got the upper hand and put on the glove that was given to her by Rebel. Baker worked over Shida as the crowd did more “DMD” chants.

* Shida was able to make a comeback and hit several knee strikes to Baker. The match went back and forth at this point. Baker hit an Air Raid Crash for a nearfall and then Shida came back with a superplex for a nearfall.

* Rebel got on the apron and caused Shida to be distracted. The referee ended up ejecting Rebel. Baker hit a curb stomp on the women’s title while the referee wasn’t looking but Shida still kicked out.

* Shida got another nearfall on Baker but Baker was able to get the lockjaw on and Shida tapped out which ended her year-long reign as champion.

* Tony Schiavone gave Baker a huge after the match.
