FTR (c) vs. Jeff Jarrett and Jay Lethal for the AEW tag team titles took place at AEW Double or Nothing 2023. Here are the highlights…
* Mark Briscoe was the special guest referee.
* FTR had a strong start but Jarrett and Lethal were able to slip to the outside of the ring as the crowd started an “FTR” chant. Jarrett tried to cheat but was caught by Briscoe. Jarrett threw Wheeler into the barricade repeatedly and his team took control.

* Jarrett applied the figure four to Wheeler but Harwood broke it up with a top rope headbutt. Harwood was eventually able to tag in and started building momentum. Harwood and Wheeler took down Lethal with a doomsday powerbomb but Sonjay Dutt pulled Harwood out of the ring. Briscoe kicked Dutt and Satnam Singh out of the ringside area.
* Jarrett tried to hit Harwood with a guitar but missed and hit Briscoe by mistake. FTR took down Lethal with the Shatter Machine but there was no referee. Aubrey Edwards ran down but was hit in the head with a guitar by Karen Jarrett.

* Jeff used the guitar on Harwood and hit the stroke but there was still no referee. Briscoe was woken up but Harwood managed to kick out. Jarrett slapped Briscoe and was slapped back. FTR then hit the Shatter Machine and pinned Jarrett.
* After the match, FTR hugged Briscoe.
