Cody Rhodes vs. Brock Lesnar took place at WWE Backlash 2023. Here are the highlights…
* Cody didn’t wait for the bell to ring and jumped over the top rope onto Lesnar during Lesnar’s entrance. Cody hit Lesnar in the face repeatedly with the steel steps. Cody then used a steel chair on the back of Lesnar. The referee took away the chair and started the match when both men were in the ring.

* Cody came off the ropes for a cutter but Lesnar caught him with a suplex. Lesnar then took Cody to suplex city. Cody tried to hold on in the corner and ripped off a turnbuckle pad before getting suplexed again.
* The tide turned when Lesnar was sent into the exposed turnbuckle. Lesnar was busted open and Cody targeted the wound. Cody hit the cross roads twice but Lesnar kicked out. Lesnar rebounded with an F5 but Cody kicked out. Lesnar applied the kimura lock but Cody countered it into a pin and scored the victory.
