Results of Carmelo Hayes vs. Ricochet at WWE NXT Worlds Collide 2022

Carmelo Hayes (c) vs. Ricochet for the NXT North American title took place at WWE NXT Worlds Collide 2022. Here are the highlights…

* For Carmelo’s entrance, there were several jerseys displayed on the big screens with names that he defeated including one for Ricochet.

* Carmelo slapped Ricochet and that fired him up. The two countered each other several times and Ricochet finally sent Carmelo down with a dropkick. Trick Williams distracted Ricochet from outside the ring and Carmelo gained the upper hand.

* Ricochet kept popping back up but Carmelo finally sent Ricochet down with a superkick. Both men went for springboard moves at the same time and collided in the middle of the ring.

* Ricochet hit the recoil but Williams pulled Carmelo’s foot under the rope. Ricochet attacked Williams and Carmelo took advantage. Both were on the top and Ricochet managed to hit Carmelo with a superplex. The crowd chanted “fight forever.”

* Ricochet pie-faced Carmelo and Carmelo slapped him. The two traded several blows. Ricochet hit a poisonrana on Carmelo and knocked Williams off the apron. Carmelo avoided the shooting star press and rolled up Ricochet with an inside cradle to retain his title.
