Results of Bron Breakker vs. Grayson Waller at WWE NXT Vengeance Day 2023

Bron Breakker vs. Grayson Waller in a steel cage match for the NXT world title took place during the WWE NXT Vengeance Day 2023 PLE. Here were the highlights…

* It was established that the match could only end by pinfall or submission.

* Waller made his entrance wearing a chainmail head piece similar to what Scott Steiner wore in WCW.

* Waller slammed the cage door into Breakker’s face before the match could officially start. Breakker fought back and slammed the door into Waller’s face. Breakker got Waller back into the ring and the match officially started.

* Breakker wiped out Waller with a Steinerline and Waller tried to escape. Waller finally got the upper hand after hitting Breakker with a DDT. Waller mocked Breakker’s barking as he slowed the pace of the match down. Breakker started to make a comeback but missed a spear and crashed into the cage.

* Waller hit a springboard flying elbow but Breakker kicked out. Waller tied up Breakker in the ropes and delivered punishment but Breakker was able to free himself. Breakker threw Waller into the cage repeatedly but Waller was able to avoid a spear. Waller hit a low blow followed by a stunner but Breakker kicked out.

* Waller climbed to the top of the cage but Breakker got up. Breakker caught Waller and gave him a superplex back into the ring. Breakker hit the spear and pulled the straps down. Breakker yelled at Waller but Waller kept fighting. Breakker then took down Waller with a spear to retain his title.

* After the match, Carmelo walked down to ringside and pointed at Breakker.
