Results of Bron Breakker vs. Carmelo Hayes at WWE NXT Stand and Deliver 2023

Bron Breakker (c) vs. Carmelo Hayes for the NXT world title took place during the WWE NXT Stand and Deliver 2023 PLE in Los Angeles, CA. Here were the highlights…

* Trick Williams did the introduction for Hayes and used Sheamus’ “banger after banger” line. Hayes paid tribute to Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers with his ring gear/entrance.

* The two had a feeling out process and taunted each other in the early moments. Breakker worked over Hayes on the mat but then Hayes caught Breakker with a springboard clothesline. Hayes targeted the arm of Breakker.

* Breakker regained control but then Williams got on the apron. The referee ended up kicking Williams out of the ringside area. Breakker came over the top rope with a dive onto both Hayes and Williams on the outside.

* Back in the ring, Breakker hit his top rope bulldog but Hayes kicked out. Hayes went to the top rope but Breakker caught with with a hurricanrana. The two traded blows and then Breakker hit a spear on Hayes but the referee was knocked down as well. Breakker put on the recliner and Hayes tapped but the referee was down. Williams hit Breakker with the title and put Hayes on top of Breakker. The referee counted but Breakker kicked out at the last moment.

* Hayes managed to hit the nothing but net kick off the top and scored the pinfall victory to become the new champion. After the match, Breakker handed the title to Hayes and raised his hand.
