Report: Rapper Lil Yachty will be working with WWE “for the foreseeable future”
As seen during the August 21st 2026 edition of WWE SmackDown, Baron Corbin challenged rapper Lil Yachty to a match at Sunday Night’s Main Event on September 6th. If Yachty can last five minutes, Trick Williams will receive another rematch for the United States Championship.
In early August, False Finish reported that Yachty was “in talks with WWE about getting a contract extension with the company.” The outlet then noted the following after SmackDown…
“Lil Yachty will be working with WWE for the foreseeable future. He has been training at the WWE Performance Center in preparation for his in-ring debut against Baron Corbin at Sunday Night’s Main Event. Lil Yachty has earned the respect of many within the company and industry due to his dedication to the business and taking it as serious as possible.”
