Report on what was originally planned for Liv Morgan’s WWE RAW match with Kairi Sane prior to her injury
As seen during the June 16th 2025 edition of WWE RAW, Liv Morgan’s match against Kairi Sane was stopped early due to a dislocated shoulder. It was later reported that Liv is expected to miss up to six months of WWE action as her injury will reportedly require surgery.
While speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com noted the following about what was originally planned for the segment prior to Liv’s injury…
“Nikki Bella was there and she was going to do a run-in in the Liv Morgan-Kairi Sane match to help set up, you know, this next part of the angle. But they decided, for whatever reason, I guess because they just everything was a panic at that point, and they probably didn’t, you know, put her out on a promo, because it’s like, Well, if she’s okay, which, you know, I mean, what do you say? So that’s why she was not on the show. Even though she’d been advertised all week, she was there.”
Meltzer also commented on the rumored Bella Twins vs. Liv and Raquel tag team match for Evolution II…
“That’s going to have to be changed. I mean, they could put, you know, Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez against the Bellas, if they want to do that. I don’t know what they’re going to do, necessarily, about the Tag Team Titles. From what I was told, the key meetings have not been held yet as far as what to do. So, that’s where it stands right now. Obviously, changes are going to be made. The meetings, you know, are actually probably going to be tomorrow, but what I was told is the key stuff has not been discussed yet as far as what they’re going to do, but they’re going to, yeah, that was a key match on the show.” (quotes courtesy of WrestlingNews.co)
