Report on Cope aka Adam Copeland’s status with AEW ahead of 2025 All In: Texas PPV event

As seen during the 2025 AEW Dynasty PPV event, FTR turned heel against Cope aka Adam Copeland. Cope hasn’t appeared on AEW television since the attack.

According to Fightful.com, there were “major creative plans” in place for FTR following Dynasty. It was rumored that Cope would reunite with Christian Cage to face FTR at All In: Texas but the potential match is apparently being delayed.

Fightful noted that Christian is reportedly not ready to end his current storyline with The Patriarchy that he has invested time into. During the June 21st edition of AEW Collision, Christian delivered a promo about wanting to team with Nick Wayne to pursue a tag team title opportunity.

It is believed that Cope’s extended absence from AEW was not anticipated as there were internal discussions about having him return at Double or Nothing. Currently, it’s unclear when AEW will proceed with a Cope and Christian reunion.
