Report: Former AEW star has “officially started” with the WWE NXT brand

Brian Pillman Jr., who is no longer wrestling for AEW, was spotted working out at the WWE Performance Center in July.

In an update, Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com is reporting that Pillman has “officially started” with the WWE NXT brand this week after having a successful tryout. Pillman recently finished his independent commitments including a loss to then-NWA Junior Heavyweight Champion Kerry Morton in Charlotte, NC at the Gathering IV.

“PWInsider.com is told that currently there is ‘no rush’ to debut Pillman Jr., 29, on television as the initial plan is to get Pillman into the PC system and allow him to get his feet under him.”
