Report: Dr. Chris Amann no longer working for WWE

Dr. Chris Amann, who was WWE’s Senior Ringside Physician for several years, is reportedly no longer working for the company. Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com noted the following regarding his departure…

“Amann has indeed exited the company, PWInsider.com is told by multiple sources, but he was not terminated. PWInsider.com is told that Amann gave notice some time ago and officially retired from his position with WWE this month. “

Amann is perhaps best known by fans for his legal issues with CM Punk in the years following Punk’s 2014 departure from WWE. In 2018, Amann was unsuccessful in his defamation lawsuit against CM Punk and Colt Cabana for comments made on Cabana’s podcast about Punk’s WWE medical care.
