QT Marhsall responds to claim that CM Punk didn’t want to have a match with him in AEW

In late 2023, there were reports that QT Marshall was supposed to work backstage and on-screen for AEW Collision but CM Punk nixed it. Marshall then stated that he liked Punk and the two of them talked things out.

This week, Punk stated in an interview that he feels like he “wasted some matches on some people” while working for AEW. A fan on Twitter/X claimed that Punk didn’t want a five-minute match with Marshall in November of 2021 and Marshall issued a response…

“He literally asked my boss for it. ‘I’d like to wrestle a bad guy in my hometown who won’t go into business for himself and try and get over with the audience.'”
