News regarding Kairi Sane potentially working with AEW following her departure from WWE
Kairi Sane was among several WWE departures announced on April 24th 2026. According to Fightful.com, Kairi is not currently signed with AEW. Sources told the outlet that there have been talks between Kairi and AEW, but no deal has been finalized at this time.
The report noted that sources indicated it never appeared likely that Kairi would sign with AEW in time for All In, and she was not factored into the event’s plans at any point.
Several wrestling companies are reportedly interested in Kairi, including promotions outside the United States. However, sources familiar with the situation said she is not expected to make Marigold her “home in Japan.”
It remains unclear how close AEW and Kairi may be to reaching an agreement or what issues, if any, still need to be resolved before a deal can be completed.
