News regarding a potential opponent/feud for John Cena during his 2025 WWE retirement tour
In 2023, there was speculation about John Cena having a match against Logan Paul at WWE Wrestlemania 39 and Logan publicly expressed interest in facing Cena. It was later reported that a Cena vs. Logan match needed “lots of practice” and because Cena didn’t have enough time, the decision was made to go with Cena vs. Austin Theory instead.
It appears that a Cena vs. Logan match could still happen. During WrestleVotes Radio on the Backstage Pass Pateron page, it was noted that there’s internal speculation within WWE for a Cena vs. Logan match during Cena’s farewell tour in 2025. It’s being said that all parties are “100% interested in that potential big money match.”
As previously noted, Cena plans to wrestle during entire year of 2025 and is targeting around 36 dates with WWE.
