Miro has reportedly asked for his release from AEW
Miro, who has not wrestled since the 2023 AEW Worlds End PPV event in December, has reportedly asked for his release from AEW. It’s currently unknown if Miro’s request has been granted or if WWE has any interest in bringing him back.
Miro was injured for a period of time but is said to be healthy now. According to Fightful.com, there was some consideration internally to use Miro in the AEW All In Casino Gauntlet. Miro had also pitched working with Jon Moxley earlier this year.
It’s believed that Miro and AEW were unable to get on the same page creatively and the situation has become a common occurrence between the two sides in recent years. Miro reportedly signed a four-year contract extension in 2022 that would keep him under contract with AEW until spring of 2026.
