During the March 4th 2024 edition of WWE RAW, Sting’s retirement was acknowledged by the commentary team at the start of Gunther’s match with Dominik Mysterio. Michael Cole stated the following…

“I want to send our congratulations out to another great champion. After nearly 40 years, the great Sting has retired from professional wrestling. Thanks for the memories. Congratulations to Sting.”

Pat McAfee added that Sting had an “absolutely epic match last night.”
