Martha Hart named Calgarian Of The Year at the 2026 Calgary Awards
Dr. Martha Hart was honored at the 2026 Calgary Awards. The event took place at City Hall on June 17th and recognized 13 individuals and organizations for their contributions to the city.
Hart was named Calgarian of the Year. The award description stated the following…
“Dr. Martha Hart, PhD, is a Cambridge-trained researcher, philanthropist, and advocate for education, housing stability, and food security. After her husband Owen Hart’s death in 1999, she founded the Owen Hart Foundation. Its home ownership and scholarship programs help low-income Calgarians buy homes and pursue post-secondary education.”
Hart is affiliated with AEW through the Owen Hart Foundation Cup tournament, which the company presents with the foundation’s support.
